Architecture | Tkalcic Bengert (Arch|TB) takes great pride in being part of the new Downtown Arena Entertainment District and helping to shape the future of Edmonton’s downtown. Rogers Place is a unique project linking one of our major clients, the City of Edmonton, with the Katz Group (owner of the Edmonton Oilers). In association with Design Architect, HOK, Arch|TB is one of the Associate Architects of this project. Arch|TB was responsible for many facets of the arena design components as well as Contract Administration.

Rogers Place links not only the 18,559 seat multipurpose arena to a downtown community rink but also a public transit station, underground parking and, most importantly, a newly formed arena and entertainment district (Ice District) providing the vital components for a successful and vibrant downtown. Our work with the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place has taught us the lesson to “know your market and design for it”, giving the spectator the best experience possible.
