Attached to the new Rogers Place Arena, the Downtown Community Rink is a standard NHL-sized ice sheet that will serve as a valuable asset to both arena tenants and the greater Edmonton community and aims to meet City of Edmonton standards for a four-season community hockey facility. It is designed to accommodate other sports including figure skating, ringette, broomball and sledge hockey and allows for over 1,000 spectators. This facility will also be utilized as a practice rink by the Edmonton Oilers and visiting NHL teams, in addition to its use as the home rink for the Men’s and Women’s MacEwan University Hockey teams.
