This large and complex project is a key part of the City of Edmonton’s new master plan for the Clareview area by integrating the branch library for the area, the recreation centre, performance stage, community meeting facilities, a YMCA childcare centre and a new Catholic high school completion centre. The new facility addresses several urban conditions, including the creation of safe connections between the developing Clareview neighbourhood to nearby LRT public transit and schools. The facility is a small part of a large and dynamic district park site that required the development of many sports fields including three baseball/softball diamonds, two soccer fields (one with a running track) and an artificial turf field.
