Anzac Recreation Centre and Community Park deliberately obscures the transition between outside and inside space and fully develops the visitor experience from the site entrance to the building use. This facility also illustrates the success of integrating multiple components of use; recreation, culture and education in a dynamic single use building.

The facility includes a field house/gymnasium, an NHL-sized indoor artificial ice surface (with one referee, one gender and four full capacity change rooms), fitness facilities (with change rooms for male and for female), a concession, senior, youth and children’s centres, a fine arts centre, multipurpose/meeting rooms and administration spaces. The field house and/or fitness centre can be used for training/warm-up. The exterior includes an interpretive walking trail, sports fields (soccer, football and two baseball diamonds, which can also be used for training/warm-up), child play area and splash pad.
